After years of research, study and consultation - the evidence is in. Now, it’s time for strong public policy leading to action as promised by both parties.

However, neither the Mandate Letter for the Minister of State for Child Care nor the Throne Speech included any specific reference to $10aDay Child Care, nor did the recent Budget Update include any new funds to begin implementing the $10aDay Plan. Minister of Finance Carole James indicates that “a difference of opinion” with the B.C. Green Party means the details still need to be worked out.

We all need to let the BC NDP and BC Greens know that families are still living with child care chaos. Let them know that if they put families first and focus on affordability, quality and access - they can and must move forward NOW.
