Your voice is urgently needed to ensure the 2018 BC Budget prioritizes investment into building a quality affordable child care system.

The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services has invited British Columbians to provide input that will help shape next year’s provincial budget. British Columbians have until October 16th to participate, and it’s so easy to do with their online survey.

To take part simply click here, and then choose the Complete a Survey option.

Here are some suggested answers to the survey's three questions:

Question 1: What are your top priorities to help make life more affordable in British Columbia?

Answer: The $10aDay Child Care Plan will make life more affordable for families with young children in BC.

Question 2: What service improvements should be given priority?

Answer: Priority should be given to creating more licensed child care spaces, reducing parent fees, and investing in the early childhood education workforce.

Question 3: What are your ideas, approaches, and/or priorities for creating good jobs and to build a sustainable economy in every corner of our province?

Answer: Creating a quality affordable child care system will create jobs and allow more parents to participate in the workforce in every corner of the province.

For each question, the $10aDay Child Care Plan is a great answer!

Of course you can also share your personal story and expand your answers. The more responses the Finance Committee receives that highlight child care and $10aDay, the more likely we are to encourage them to make the investments necessary.

Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to advocate for quality affordable child care. Together we can make a difference.
